Five years ago, you disrupted grief for me as I knew it. And not too long after that, Rocky left me too. One could say that I had no clue what grief was before then. It still feels so surreal. There are many days that I wish you were still here. Just to have one more conversation. One more phone call. One more hug. It didn't matter how long we weren't in contact; we still managed to maintain a beautiful love/ friendship. I wish I could've witnessed you flourish. Could've met your family. And I wish we could've had a reunion with some of the people we came into the Navy with. I hope you and Rocky are keeping each other company, wherever you are. I miss you tremendously. I send love and light to all who are suffering from your loss.

My favorite visit to NC with my boys to visit and meet you and Asia and Armani. So much fun at the football game. Chase and Armani cheering against Dayne and Asia. Fun at the hotel and a horrible buffet restaurant dinner. Afterwards, the kids didn’t want to part. Remember Chase carrying Armani around the parking lot? So much fun with you guys. His memory will always leave me with a smile ❤️

I work for the same company as Armani, though for different locations. He and another DC co-worker assisted me with moving our office locations. When I would visit the DC, I would always say hello and chat with Armani many, many times. I will miss seeing him.

Spending weekends in Mocksville around you, and watching you with your family was always a highlight of my visit, because you were just a loving person. I still can't believe that I'm writing this.
