How you can help

My grandma loved the Sojourner Project, just a few weeks ago we were discussing various charitable causes and she said with enthusiasm, "I just love how Sojourner offers a way out for women...they help give them an opportunity for a new way of life."
The organization provides emergency shelter for women and children; legal advocacy and support to empower those victimized by domestic violence; and information and education to raise community awareness and promote violence prevention. Annually, they serve more than 1,000 survivors and their children across Minnesota's Hennepin County.
Every Christmas my Grandma Leenie would say she 'had everything she needed' and preferred we donate to a worthy organization. As I researched the organization for the creation of this memorial page I opened the Sojourner Spring Newsletter and saw her name featured among the list of faithful donors during the peak of the COVID pandemic.

Donating to the Sojourner Project is a gift that would truly honor Arlene. Thank you for helping families escape violence and journey towards a new life of stability and safety.

Sincerely,
Chelsie Chan
(Arlene's eldest grandchild and Paula's daughter)
