I was truly saddened when I heard the news of Arlene's passing ..                              Mrs. Mayo was truly a beautiful woman of God, mom to all, sister and friend.                      I think I've known her most of my life as an integral, starting member of our Church Family @ Brookins AME..  My parents were blessed by both she and Uncle Ben's commitment to the on-going work of the Church!                                    But beyond that, we were  family as  my brother and I grew up with Staci & Darrell and recall the wonderful childhood memories of countless trips, amusement parks, fishing, swimming,  sleepovers, events and always being in and out of the Mayo household!     Mrs. Mayo shared her life &  her ENTIRE family with us..   If you were with the Ms Arlene & the Mayos; you went everywhere & met everybody... We got to meet and know aunts, uncles, cousins on both sides of the family from Tx, Ohio, Chicago & more--we were truly a part of the Family!  Thank you Ms. Arlene for extending your love and kindness to us and being an example of what a Christian looks like.   We know you are now resting in the loving arms of God our creator in whom you believed and trusted!   The Kirkland family (Bishop, Mary, Mikita (Carroll & Kirk), Deidra (Harvey), Theo II), sends our love and sincere condolences to Staci and Darrel ; Mark & Lyndia... all of the grandchildren and entire family!

Those that die in the Lord shall rest from their labor, and their works do follow them…(Revelation 14:13)

We will continue praying for your strength in the Lord.🔯✝️🕎
