Arista's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Arista Butcher-Vo, who was welcomed into this world on August 4, 1992, and left us on January 6, 2024. A beloved mother, daughter, and sister, Arista was an individual who lived life with ardor and cherished the simple pleasures of everyday life.

Arista is survived by her former wife, Ashley Vo, with whom she shared marital bliss in 2021. Their union was blessed with Aristas beautiful daughter, Aero Casey Cole Wilson, the apple of Arista's eye, on January 25, 2022. Arista's fervent love for her child was evident in her every action, as she spent every moment pondering on how to be a better mother.

Furthermore, Arista is mourned by the father of her child, Wallace (Alicia) Wilson, her loving mother Stephanie Faulkner, her father Lynn Butcher, and her dear sisters, Ashley Butcher and Micah Dreyer, and of course, her two childhood best friends, Jess Kessler and Devan (Bebe) Bounds with whom she shared countless pivotal moments that shaped her life.

A woman of faith, Arista had a penchant for books, with the Bible being her ultimate favorite as she was very big in her faith. She was an avid reader, her literary tastes spanning from "South of Broad" to "The Great Gatsby". She was a true enthusiast, known to take pleasure in various genres and titles.

More than just literature, Arista was passionate about music. For her, music was a refuge. She had a beautiful old soul that appreciated an array of genres, anything from The Doors to Tech N9ne. Her love for music was boundless and heartwarming.

Her ardor for the arts extended to her favorite television shows, prominently including the Golden Girls, Seinfeld, and Jeopardy. As a sports enthusiast, she never missed a chance to cheer for the Chicago Bears, her favorite team. She was very intelligent and always had a way with words. In her recreation time,  she loved to write in one of the many journals she collected.

Arista was a woman of vibrant tastes, which was reflected in her love for the color green and her preference for pizza and Oreos. Each facet of Arista's life was full of colors and flavors that painted a vivid picture of her unique personality.

As we mourn Arista's passing, let us celebrate her life and the numerous lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her. May our memories of her spirit provide us with comfort during this difficult time.

Arista is preceded in death by her older sister, Ariel Casey Butcher, Warsaw Indiana.
