It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aridia "Negrita" Mendez on December 7, 2025. Aridia, who was affectionately known as Negrita, was born on June 27, 1936, and her vivacious spirit brightened the lives of all she encountered.
She was a beacon of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. Her legacy will forever live on through those who loved her, as well as the countless lives she touched throughout her distinguished life.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Negrita (Aridia) on December 7, 2025. As some of us tried to be prepared, one can never really be prepared for this immense loss. We’ve created a donation fund to help cover expenses for funeral costs, as Negrita’s final wish was to have a viewing/service here and one in Dominican Republic. With her final resting place being in Esperanza, DR. If you find it in your heart to donate, please do so here. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
