Family Chain

Our Family Chain has been broken.

And we must not ask why.

We must as she did... accept Christ as Our Lord.

To one day meet Her … in the sky.

To be absent from the body, God’s Word states

Is to be present with The Lord.

After her toils and labor were through

Eternal life is her reward..

There were so many links

In our Family Chain of life.

She had her own special place in our heart.

But still we miss her in our sight.

Tears have come fast and furiously,

some slowly, uninvited,

They just flow down our cheeks

then meet and drop from our chin.

Memories recalled seem like just yesterday.

Stirring up that deep longing

to just see her just once again.

But the memories that bring smiles,

oh the smiles...

That dance lightly across our face.

As each recollection is so unique!

Each one has it’s individual space!

Yes, our Family Chain is broken

And nothing will ever seem the same;

But as God calls us one by one
