Arlene Evelyn (Plante) Malo, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother entered the kingdom of heaven Sunday, March 21, 2021. Predeceased by Robert Malo her loving husband of 43 years, Arlene is survived by her 5 children; Robert, Gary, Susan, Kristy, and Timothy. In her life, Arlene was blessed with 7 grandchildren (Amanda, Daniel, Jeremy, Kimberly, Allison, Rebecca, and Roland) and 12 Great Grandchildren (Mackenzie, Jordyn, Gabriel, Aubrianna, Shelby, Kylie, Makayla, Dominic, Matthew, Nathan, Hayden, and Winter).
Arlene spent her early life in Connecticut (Plainfield & Old Saybrook), and enjoyed her retired years in New Mexico and California before returning to Connecticut for her final years. A devout Catholic, Arlene was a member of Saint Johns Church in Old Saybrook where her husband served as an usher for many years. Arlene was an avid reader, a pleasure she passed along to both her daughters Susan and Kristy.
Her family and loved ones are comforted in knowing she left this life to be reunited with the love of her life after 20 years apart, and that she is no longer bound by the limitations of her earthly body and mind.
