Archie Melvin Leighty, born September 26, 1943 in Higginsville, Missouri, to Grant Leighty and Sarah Stanislaus, Archie spend most of his life growing up in Missouri, moving between Missouri and Oklahoma. He played Baseball and Basketball as a young lad.

Archie meet the love of his life Freda Cassel and later they married in Tusla Oklahoma. He coached little league baseball team from 1976 to 1989, he was very love by his community and spent countless hours helping anyone he came into contact with. Archie's favorite passing was taking his children and grandchildren fishing, camping, hiking, boating, riding four wheelers. Archie loved to play pranks on his family, and spent countless hours teaching them how to get grandma. Archie favortie holiday was Halloween, he loved dressing up and taking the little kids out Trick or Treating.

Archie served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1975, when he retired. After retiring from the Air Force Archie opened up several night clubs between 1977 to 1993, at which time he worked for the IRS.

Archie is survived by his 5 children and 15 grandchildren. he is proceeded in death by his loving wife Freda.
