1970 – 2025
April Hernandez, 55, of San Antonio Tx, passed away tragically in a car accident on June 1, 2025.
April was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Hernandez; her son Caleb; her two stepdaughters; and two cherished granddaughters. She also leaves behind her beloved brother and sister, and a close-knit circle of family, friends, and colleagues who will miss her deeply.
April graduated from Mansfield High School in 1988 and went on to build a meaningful and impactful career as a Site Safety Manager with Dilling Group. Safety was not just her profession—it was her passion. She cared deeply for those she worked with, always prioritizing their well-being and earning the admiration and respect of her entire team.
Outside of work, April found joy in travel, especially visiting the Texas Hill Country and exploring the great outdoors. Her most recent and memorable adventure with Richard was a trip to Yellowstone National Park. She was also a proud and devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, cheering them on every season with true Texas pride.
April had a huge heart, not just for people, but for her animals too. She adored her two cats, Rocky and Romeo, who brought her endless comfort and companionship and who she loved more than anything.
April’s life was defined by her strength, her loyalty, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched—with laughter, care, and fierce devotion.
