April's obituary

April Lyn Belnap, 42, a 17 year resident of Spokane, Washington, passed away on June 6th, 2021. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on October 8th, 1978 to Arnold and Debbie Grider, and was later adopted by Timothy and Betty Bodmer. April faced a multitude of health issues throughout her life, as she was born with spina bifida. Her adoptive parents knew raising a special needs child would be a challenge, but they loved her as their own and raised her as they did their other three daughters, Angela, Donna, and Becky. April moved to Spokane in 2004 to meet and eventually marry her husband, Jeffrey Belnap. The two were wed on September 1st, 2006, in the Kootenai county courthouse of Coeur d'Alene Idaho. They have a son, Jackson.

April absolutely loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. When ever there was a game on, she would literally dress from head to toe in OSU gear. Including ear rings and the occasional necklace, made of buckeyes! Even her bedding was OSU.

April was loved by everyone she met. She was deeply generous, and fiercely compassionate. She would give the shirt off her back, then buy you matching pants. If someone asked for change for a sandwich, she would buy them a meal.

Even though April was always in pain, she never let it show, and always had a smile on her face, and kind words for anyone she encountered.

April was a huge country music fan. Her idols were Reba McIntyre and Garth Brooks. She loved to read, just about anything she could get her hands on. Especially true crime stories.

April is survived by her husband, Jeff, their son Jackson, her step son Bruce, their foster son Nick, three sisters, three half sisters, her father, her BEF (best ever friend) Jacki, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and god children.

April was preceded in death by her mother, Betty J Bodmer (Ritchie)

April touched hundreds, if not thousands of lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of each and every one of them. She will be greatly missed.
