April and I met during our years at NEO. We became fast friends and she was my first roommate in Joplin, MO, while attending MSSU. We have always stayed in touch and have seen each other throughout the years. My world will not be the same without her infectious laugh and as I used to call them “April stories” which was an inside joke. I love you sweet friend and many prayers to Tom and the girls, entire family. The world will be less bright without her presence.

We were neighbors with the Barr family in New Hope. Our kids met up in the backyards and played a lot. They came inside when hungry or tired and I remember the clear message - April had the cool snacks and the great crafts. She was always the fun Mom! I certainly agree. We have many great memories from those years when the kids were little and we could have adult conversations and beverages while the kids entertained themselves. April’s smile and laugh were infectious and she enjoyed her family more than anything.
Tom, Madison, Tori and Kiki- we are so sad to learn of April’s passing. It was always evident that her family was the most important part of her world.

April, Tom, and the girls lived behind our family in New Hope. Great neighbors and many days of the kids playing in our backyards and us adults having adult beverages. A couple memories of April that stand out are the time April had to cut Madi’s seat belt off in the new Ford SUV Tom had just leased cause April and Patty couldn’t get it off and everyone freaking out. Then another vehicle incident was when April took the kids shopping and when they got back April shut the trunk on Matt’s hand. April couldn’t find the keys right away, all turned out just fine. We can hear April laughing right now thinking about those memories. She was always happy, smiling, and a wonderful person to be around. Sending love and prayers to the Barr Family ♥️

April and I became friends when we met at Indian Springs Elementary! Some of my fondest memories growing up include April and the sleep overs at each others houses! When we saw each other throughout the years, it was like not much time had passed... sharing stories and laughing about our fun (and sometimes crazy!) adventures together. She was a true friend, a special person with such a loving heart. She loved her family so much. I pray your faith brings you strength and comfort during this difficult time, and may each of you feel her love forevermore.

April was one of my dearest friends & college roommate. April, I’ve known since 1st grade. We were roommates our freshman year & did everything together. We never lost touch & we would always pick up right where we left off when we would talk or get together. I love you sweet April! I will miss you! I pray for your girls & your family for guidance thru these incredible tough times.

I am so terribly sad to hear this news. I met April in 9th grade . I was so shy and she was always so kind and encouraging. ( a little spicy too) I have so many fond memories. I spoke with her a few years ago and She was so proud of her beautiful family. My deepest condolence's to your entire family.

I’m so sad to hear this. I’ve known April since middle school. I remember being at her mom’s house and learning how to ride a horse. There were a bunch of girls over and April had Mary Kay cosmetics, which included their infamous lipgloss and a new item we had never heard of - the brow comb that set your eyebrows - we were all debating if it was a real thing or not! She was always kind and will be remembered fondly. My deepest condolences to you all. Rest easy, sweet friend. 🙏🏼🤍🙏🏼

I met April in middle school and always looked up to her! She was a year older and so pretty and fun! I spent lots of time at her house, and she spent lots of time at my house. One fun thing I remember, before we got our drivers license, was going to Jim’s One Stop after school for snacks and drinks and playing Frogger in the little game room in the back of the store! We would go every day to see if our high score was still there, which it wasn’t because these boys went up there every day too! Recently, the last 10 years or so we went on two girl trips to the beach and had fun reminiscing about our middle and high school days! I will love her and her friendship forever and ever! Love you, Ape!
Family……I wish I had met you, Tom and girls…..I’m praying for peace that passes all understanding for your whole family. Much Love to Ms. Ruth!
