The Afro-Scot Relief Project community bids farewell to a valued collaborator and principled businesswoman, Ifeoma Appolonia Nwankwo(Apocom). She believed deeply in charity work and making a difference. Our thoughts are with her loved ones and all who were touched by her generosity.

May her legacy inspire us to continue our work with compassion and dedication in the year ahead.

My condolences to Apocom's family.

I first met Apocom when I was pregnant  (October 2024). I had just moved to parkhead and was craving Abacha. I searched  online and saw Apocom restaurant was close to my house.

When I got to the restaurant, you were the first person I met. I didn't know it was your restaurant until we started chatting for a while.  You were very friendly and humble. When I told you my husband was from Abia, you asked why we're not in the Abia community. I told you I didn't know such group existed.

You collected my number and said you were going to add me to the group. I also sent you my husband's contact and you added him to the group too.

That was the first and last time I saw you... I wished I saw more of you.

When I gave birth, you tried  to come see us, but  didn't have the opportunity as you were really busy.

We communicated  on WhatsApp.  I remember when I wanted to order palmwine from the restaurant and I called you, you made a way for it to be possible.

I always see your beautiful status about you,  your kids and NSPPD.  At a point I stopped seeing your status and was wondering what was wrong.

Only for me to see a shocking message that you were no more💔💔.

You were a lovely, dedicated and cheerful person. Heaven has gained a soul.

God knows best. May God grant you eternal rest.

Tribute to a beloved sister Ifoma Appolonia Nwankwo (Apocom)

Today we remember the demise of ifeoma Apolonia fondly known as Apocom, who passed on after an illness.

She was a woman known by many through her strength, kindness, support and presence, people saw her light, her confidence and the way she carried herself,in many places beyond our homes, she left impressions that will not be easily forgotten.

Within the family her passing on has left a different kind of pain-one mixed with unanswered question, old wounds and heavy silence, she worked immensely to build her empire which she left behind , and that truth still hurts, yet death is inevitable to every creature,we all still can't question the authority of God will.

Despite all, she was still our own, blood doesn't disappear with misunderstandings.the memories -good or bad -are still memories that made up siblings and the bonds however strained was real.

As we mourn Ifoma,we also mourn what could have been; healing, reconciliation, words left unsaid,we pray that she has found the peace that may have escaped her in life and that those of us left behind find strength to carry both the grief and truth

Rest in peace Ifoma Appolonia Nwankwo

(Apocom)

May your soul find rest and may time soften the pain in our hearts

It saddens my heart to hear about your passing so soon Ifoma. I still remember when we were in the college. We worked  on that home work together and revised together in preparation for our exams. You are such a  kind and loving person with a positive energy. You  believed in hard work and success. You are a goal getter! . Rest in peace  Ifoma .

Rest in Peace

From Africans in Inverclyde

Dearest Esteemed Leaders. Good morning. It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our dedicated leaders in T61- Ifeoma Appolonia, who departed this life on December 31st 2025.

She held a cherished place as a very close family friend of Dr. Vera Osokoya, leaving an irreplaceable void in both our community and her personal circle.

May her gentle soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may God Almighty grant Dr. Vera Osokoya, her entire family, and all of us enduring consolation during this time of grief.

Heavenly Father, we commit Ifeoma Appolonia into Your loving hands. Surround Dr. Vera and her loved ones with Your peace that surpasses understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.

Strengthen T61 and the entire hub to continue its mission of prayer, evangelism, mentorship, and empowerment in her memory.

Let us unite in support, reaching out with prayers and practical help to honour Ifeoma's legacy of service. Please we would like to know the plans for the burial. Peace 🙌 🙌 🙏

When we met, we just clicked! We remember your words, immediately it was evident how much love you have. It hurts really badly. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

BURIAL PLANS AS MY HEART GOES TO A LOVING APPOLONIA .

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

Tears fall like autumn's rain

Call it the thunderous rain ,

For Appolonia, a light that shone so bright but short lived

A sister, a friend, a heart so true,

Burial plans weigh heavy, pain anew.

Oh my Appolonia ,my Brekete

Memories swirl, a bittersweet refrain,

Echoes of laughter, joy, and love's sweet strain. We shared true sisterly love.

Now sorrow's chill begins to seep and stain,

Leaving voids that may never be filled again.

Oh my Appolonia ,my Brekete

In grief's dark night, I'm lost and astray,

Missing you, Appolonia, every single day.

Your smile, your love, my heart's deep sway,

Forever in my heart, you'll stay. 🖤

I will never forget our moments

Oh my Appolonia, my Brekete

RIP my heart and soul. My Sister and friend.

Death is not the end; we will part in this world for now. Each of us exits at our own time. You, Apocom, lived well—kind-hearted, respectful, sociable, and God-fearing. This is not what we wish, but we trust that God is beyond questioning. We will meet again on the resurrection day. Rest in peace, and sleep in God’s mercy.

Really saddened by the loss of a kind person like Apolonia.

We will miss you 😭😭😭

😔💔

My dear Appolonia Ifeoma, RIP

I love you my baby girl .

I felt your angelic presence today

I will continue to pray for your seeds

Angel my Angel

Fly high, sweet angel,

In skies so bright,

Send some of your celestial crew,

To wipe away my tears tonight.

I'm holding on, for those you loved,

Strong for the hearts you have touched,

But oh, it hurts, without your light,

Shine down, my love, we are clutching.

Appolonia Ifeoma my love

Appolonia Ifeoma my Brekete

Appolonia Ifeoma My sister

Appolonia Ifeoma my heart and soul.

Your forever big sister

Dr Vee

APPOLONIA OUR APOCOM, THE LOVELY AND LOVING ANGEL

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

To many , you Appolonia Ifeoma has gone

To me , you many never have gone

I sense your presence

I feel the cold so so much

Winter is real.

In empty halls, we will wander slow,

Missing the spark that only you know,

Appolonia, your warmth we can't replace,

A love so strong, a void in its space.

Your 3 children and my 3 will miss your playful delight,

The laughter, hugs, and bedtime fights and French hugs ,

Your husband our Chi will miss the love in your eyes,

The partner, friend, and heart of the skies.

In quiet moments, memories will sting,

Wishing you were here, our hearts sing,

We miss you, Appolonia, more than words say,

The joy you brought, we'll cherish, day by day.

With you , I know true love exist ♥️
