Antonio's obituary
Antonio Roche, 87, of Far Rockaway Queens, passed away on July 12, 2022, peacefully in his sleep.
Antonio was born on October 20th, 1934, to Antonio Roche Sr. and Providenica Martinez in Ponce, Puerto Rico. After receiving primary education, he began working to help support his family. Antonio retired from Signal Transformers after 20 years of service. In November of 1977 Antonio married the love of his life Romelia Roche and have one child, Marvin Roche. Antonio was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his son Marvin and wife Romelia and always tried his best to support them.
Antonio was also a passionate musician. He played congas and timbales with several bands including El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. When he was not preforming you could often find him fishing on Beach 17 by the rocks.
Anyone who knew Antonio also knew that he had a huge heart. He would give you the shirt of his back and would feed the whole neighborhood. He was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Antonio was predeceased by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife Romelia, son Marvin Roche (Rosa) and five grandsons Brycen, Makaio, Jayden, Marcus and Cameron.
The family requests that all flowers and cards are sent to 2210 New Haven Ave Apt 4J, Far Rockaway Queens, NY 11691. There will be a Celebration of life on July 30th, 2022, at Beach 17th Far Rockaway.
