Antonio's obituary
Antonio Rocha Miranda Sr of Wilton, California passed away October 1st, 2022, in Olivehurst, California. He was a loving husband to Michelle Silva, father of 7, grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 3.
Antonio Rocha Miranda Sr. was born April 19th, 1954 in Angra do Heroismo, Terceira, Azores. Over his lifetime he had many skills from milking cows, framing houses and concrete chipping, never afraid of getting his hands dirty. He was self-employed and owned Mirandas Concrete Chipping for many years.
He was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a great friend. He loved playing futbol. He was a hardworking man who would break his back to support his family and friends since the beginning of time. He was that man to give you his last dollars. He will always be remembered for his heart of gold. He loved every one of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, almost as much as his bread and Portuguese cheese. A man who didn’t understand the concept of the gas gauge, and would never admit how old he really was, because one can only be 29 so many years in a row. He was the man to build up everyone up, always saying “Portugees never gets stuck”, with a bright smile. A man of great integrity, spoke truth very well, a man to call if you ever needed anything. He was recently diagnosed with cancer but continued to say, “I will never stop working, I will not give up, and the devil will never win, GOD always wins".
He was survived by wife Michelle Silva (Stockton, California). Children, Antonio Rocha Miranda Jr (Vancouver, Washington), Pierre Marcel Miranda (Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Sarah Ruth Miranda (Derby, Kansas), Christina Vanessa Miranda (Stockton, California), Maria Conceicao Miranda (Galt, California), Chloe Silva Miranda (Stockton, California) and Gabriela Silva Miranda (Stockton, California).
