Antoinette (Toni/Ant) DeNegris (nee Perrella) of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on May 3, 2023. She was 71 years old. Toni was preceded in death by her parents Vito and Mary Perrella and her sister, Jennie Annatone. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Matthew M. DeNegris, her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew V. and Jennifer DeNegris, two grandchildren, Josie and Ben DeNegris, nephews Anthony (Stephanie) and Edward Annatone, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Toni was born on March 31, 1952 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was a graduate of West Haven High School.  After the birth of her son, Toni was a devoted mother, involved in the local libraries and schools both in Connecticut and after the family's move to Sarasota, Florida in 1983. Toni enjoyed running day-to-day operations in the family's sandal business and later a printing company. Even after her son completed school, she remained involved in education as a reading partner with local schools and the library.

Toni was an involved "nonnie" to her two grandchildren. She doted on them and considered them the sunshine of her later years. While her dream of being a back-up singer for The Supremes never panned out, her love of music was a constant in her life and a trait inherited by all of her descendants. Toni was also an avid animal lover and devoted "dog mom." Toni's friends and family will always remember her for her ongoing positivity and ability to see the world through rose-colored glasses.

No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to a local ASPCA or Nate's Honor Animal Rescue of Bradenton, Florida be made in Toni's memory.
