Tony's obituary
Remembering Tony (Anthony) Tomasi
May 18, 1958 – March 30, 2025
With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we celebrate the life of Tony Tomasi, who passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2025. Born May 18, 1958, Tony lived life on his own terms—with wit, wisdom, a dash of stubbornness, and a whole lot of heart. He was a man who made you laugh, told it like it was, and always knew how to make you feel at home—especially if you were lucky enough to sit at his dinner table.
To know Tony was to know someone real. He was unapologetically himself—sharp, funny, thoughtful, and fiercely loyal. He had a knack for cutting through the noise and getting to what mattered, whether in conversation or cooking. And speaking of cooking... his food? Legendary. He could make magic in the kitchen, and he loved nothing more than feeding the people he loved. His meals weren’t just good—they were unforgettable.
At the center of Tony’s world was his beloved wife, Dawn, his partner in life and love. They shared a bond that spanned over 30 wonderful years. Their relationship was built on love, laughter, and the kind of deep connection that doesn't come around often.
He was a proud dad to Nickole McAdams and Julie Davidson, and he adored his grandkids, Jackson McAdams and Anna Davidson. He was a mentor, protector, and strong presence in their lives, always cheering them on. He also shared a close bond with his sons-in-law, Stephen McAdams and Rodney Davidson Jr., who were more like sons than in-laws.
Tony’s love extended beyond his family to his cherished big dogs —Hazel, Ava, and Lulu—who were a constant source of joy and unconditional love. His bond with all of his pets throughout his life was a beautiful reflection of his kind and giving nature.
A burial service will be held on May 1, 2025, at 11:15 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM at Prestonwood Baptist Church – Plano Campus Faith Chapel.
In honor of his love for animals, donations may be made to Dallas Pets Alive EIN 46-2768869, a cause close to his heart.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and legendary meals. He taught us to be bold, to speak from the heart, and to love deeply. While we’ll miss him every day, we’ll carry his spirit with us—in stories shared, recipes passed down, and in all the ways he made life brighter. Here’s to Tony: unforgettable, irreplaceable, and forever loved.
