Anthony's obituary

Anthony Michael Martinez came into this world as a ball of energy on June 26, 1993, and was a joy and blessing his whole life to parents Leon and Charlene Martinez and sisters Anna and Cheyenne.

At a very early age, he was inquisitive and loved working with his mind and hands. He once took the family telephone apart to see how it worked and painstakingly put it back together again –with only a few parts left over. Which he determined probably weren’t even needed anyway once his thorough exam was completed!!

He later went on to take apart and rebuild his 1981 Ford pick up as part of his Senior school project and just amazed his teacher and class with the work and precision involved. He went on to work on all the family vehicles, keeping them running smoothly, before taking an interest in motorcycles, having several Harleys of his own.

He was welcomed into the brotherhood of the Street Misfits and then on to the Sin City Disciples and found a home with all of them there. He valued their friendship and the brotherhood they shared. Time spent with club members was special and Anthony spoke highly of their support for him and each other. He was dubbed “Krash” ---the name just seemed to fit, and he wore it proudly.

Anthony had a special bond with everyone he touched. The love he had for family and friends was undeniable. His smile would light up the room when he walked in. He always thought of others before himself and was admired by many. He shared a birthday with his younger sister Cheyenne, and they had a close special bond. With Cheyenne being born at 7 am on his 7th birthday, he announced that he would wait to open his gifts until we came home with her even though he had the option to do it then. The family was always close, and they enjoyed many camping trips, rides through the snow and mountain passes and cruises to fun and exotic places. Memories of these times will be forever cherished.

Anthony grew from a shy, yet outgoing kid, to an amazing young man even though he always knew that to his mom he would always be her baby! He also enjoyed working alongside his dad doing both mechanics and construction projects. He was a quick learner and his work ethic much respected. Anthony had a large extended family with relatives in Georgia, Montana, Washington, Utah, and Arizona. He was loved by everyone, and the world has lost a shining star who would have done great things.

God has now called him home---way too soon ---, and those of us left behind will always have a hole in our hearts. He was a blessing in our lives, fun to be around and a valued treasure that will be forever missed….

Go in Peace our cherished son and brother, and be welcomed into your place there above, with Grandpa Gerry, Grandma Elizabeth, Aunt Lori, Uncle Bob and of course, Thomas ….
