Anthony's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anthony Richard-John Enright (Lower Brule, Lakota) on July 27th, 2025. Born on February 23rd, 1979, Anthony was 46 years old. He is survived by his mother Holly Enright, his father Ken Enright, his sister Juleana Enright, his brother Troy Enright, his maternal grandmother Agatha Anderson, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and beloved friends.
A talented and accomplished architect, Anthony was the project manager, designer and developer of numerous buildings, courthouses and urban structures throughout Minnesota. A lover of nature and all things outdoors, his favorite season was fall; he enjoyed camping, hiking and walks around Lake Harriet with his mother and sister. He adored children and animals and was always gentle with both.
With a degree held in both architecture and English literature, Anthony immersed himself in books of all sorts, especially sci-fi. He loved loaning out his favorites and recommending new titles to his friends and family. Anthony took great pleasure in traveling, absorbing himself in culture, architecture, and cuisine from a variety of countries. Among the many places he visited were Iceland, Sweden, England, Denmark, France, and his most memorable trip to New Zealand.
Anthony was a self-proclaimed “foodie," well-known for his exceptional culinary skills and for trying out new and elaborate dishes. Anthony will be remembered for his eccentric and epicurean nature, his creativity, his passionate obsessions, his empathy and generosity, his esoteric taste in music, theater, and films, his effulgence, his clever intellect, and above all, his fierce love for his family. Never the quietest in any room, the silence of his absence will be forever missed.
The Enright family invites all those who knew and loved Anthony to join them for a remembrance of his gifts and life on Saturday, September 13th, 2-6pm at 2621 Lyndale Ave S. Minneapolis, MN. Although not necessary, if guests feel motivated to bring something to the event, Anthony’s favorite flower was an orchid. Catering and beverages will be provided.
