Anthony's obituary

On July 5,2024 at 3:26am, Anthony Carlos Willis known as (Ant)/ Islamic name Raheem) was called home.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un “ Surely we belong to Allah and to him shall we return”. Anthony was

born on Jan.14,1992 in Washington DC at DC General Hospital to his parents Janetta Willis and Kobie

Dixon. Anthony was the second child out of eight children. Anthony attended and graduated high school at

Parkridge Private School in 2015. Anthony was great at Basketball, Football and Boxing.

Anthony was a very outgoing person. He had a smile that brightened up every room he walked in. He was

the life of the party. He always thought he was everybody's father, even his own mother. Anthony had the

demeanor of the GRIM REAPER heart of an ANGEL. He was always one phone call away and ready to rock

out with no questions asked. Anthony always put that shit on when he walked in a room it only made sense

to stop and admire him. Even though he may have had a rocky past he was becoming the man he wanted to

be. He overcame a lot of obstacles and challenges and even when life was too hard to handle he never gave

up. Anthony was the voice of reason even though he was unpredictable himself that's why half yall here

(shade no tea!!) He gave the best advice he could even if it came with a little tough love. He had big dreams,

he always wanted to see his family come together and do great things. He always saw the good in everybody

even when there wasn't any. His love was spread thin even though he spread it to everybody.

He is survived by his only son  Anthony Carlos Backstrom, his five sisters Dalia, Alexis, and Samantha Allen.

Destiny Riggins, and Errica Willis. His three brothers Terry Willis, Delonte Willis, and Roderick Gaither.

His thirteen nieces and nephews Kali Allen, Harmony Allen,

Sophia Murray, Zoey Redden, Morgan Wright, Dinero Brauer Thompson, Dayon Brauer Thompson, Zy’mir

Redden, Za’Har Allen, Zaccai Allen, Messiah Willis, Royce Gaither, Ra’dre Miller and a host of family and

relatives......

Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know. May the winds of heaven blow softly. And whisper in your ear. How much we love and miss you And wish you were here. When I see my brother in heaven we'll have a lot to talk about!
