It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Brian Boyd on October 19, 2025. Born on May 27, 1958, Anthony lived a life of resilience, kindness, generosity, and unforgettable goofiness. Known for his stubborn yet lighthearted nature, he was a pillar of strength and source of joy for all who knew him.

Anthony's greatest pride and accomplishment were his children. He is survived by his beloved children, Brian Gonzalez, Alejandra, Leticia, and Angelica Boyd. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Katie Gonzalez, Joseph Sunderland, Anthony Cebreros, Gavin Sunderland, and Teigen Newman.

Anthony provided for his family through years of dedicated service at the Office of State Printing, beginning in 1991 and culminating in his well-earned retirement in 2015. Prior to this, he served our country valiantly as a member of the USMC-II from June 10, 1976, until 1978.

His education was pursued with the same commitment he showcased in all areas of his life, earning a Computer Science degree with honors from Heald College in Sacramento, CA in 2002. His life demonstrated his core belief in the lessons he shared with those around him - to never say you can't.

A viewing for Anthony will be held on November 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A Burial for Anthony will be held on November 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life ceremony scheduled for 3:30 PM.
