I have lingered over the photos of you cradling Annie, the joy so evident in your faces and the faces of her grandmothers. I have winced, held my breath, and said my prayers with each narrative of her medical procedures. And I have marveled over beautiful Annie. I love her smile so wide and her eyes so wise.
I cannot imagine the pain you feel. But one thing I know is that the world expanded with love with her birth and the time you had together. I know she will be carried in your hearts, that she will experience the world through your travels.

Megan, Katie, Debbie and Paul, I am so distraught at the loss of your beautiful Annie. I prayed with all my heart. I can't explain why she touched me so deeply, but she did.
