My favorite memory of Annie Mae was hanging out in the kitchen with her during any of the many family functions she hosted. She knew that I loved her Watergate salad and at every gathering, no matter how big or how small, she always made it for me. Sometimes I think she and I were the only ones who ate it!

My heart breaks for each of you during this very difficult time. Annie Mae was a remarkable woman, who raised some pretty awesome children and loved on some truly wonderful grandchildren. I know that you will miss her, but through your faith, you will be reunited with her, and Gordon, in the future. Until then, may God strengthen and sustain you all as you navigate your grief. And may He slowly turn your mourning into dancing.
