Dearest Anne,

I’m so proud of how you've lived your life.

You took care of me like your own sibling when my parents weren't there. You cried with us, stood by us, and made us feel safe.

Your compassion had no limits. You gave so much of yourself, quietly and never asking for anything in return.

I remember every moment with you as if it were just yesterday. I’ll miss you so much.

This Sunday, we’ll be celebrating your life. I hope, somehow, you’ll be able to see it.

Please rest peacefully, Your husband Ethan is an amazing person, and I know he’ll carry your light with him.

You were one of a kind, Anne. Thank you for having been on this earth with us.

Dearest Anne,

You lived with such quiet resilience and kindness. You carried so much, yet never made it about you. Even when things were hard, you showed up with a soft smile, with grace, with that steady calm that made people feel safe just being around you. I’m so grateful you had Ethan and John — two people who truly saw you, loved you, and stood by you through it all. That kind of love is rare, but you deserved every bit of it.

I’ll never forget our afternoons picking up Abbie and walking back to school with iced coffee in hand — just laughing and being us. I still remember back in 2017 when I visited you in Seoul, you were taking Korean classes and had a busy schedule. However, you insisted on picking me up from the bus station so I wouldn’t get lost, and welcoming me into your tiny apartment like it was nothing — just pure warmth. One of my favorite moments from seeing you in Korea last year was watching you in that little pet store, completely immersed by a tiny Pomeranian. Your whole face lit up — it was pure joy — so simple, but so pure.

Rest peacefully, dearest Anne. You gave so much. Now it’s your turn to be surrounded by love. Forever in our hearts 🤍

Dear Anne,

I still can’t believe you are no longer here.

It’s so sad that I didn’t get a chance to see you before your passing. We shared wonderful memories performing together, and they bring a smile to my face when I think of you. You are one of the kindest and most big-hearted people I have ever known.

I will miss you deeply, but knowing you are in a peaceful place brings me comfort.

With love, Mina unni.

I am so sorry for the passing of your beloved wife, Ethan. I know the pain of loss is heavy, please remember that you're not walking this road alone. We are here for you, and I pray that God's grace will meet you in every moment.

With sympathy and hope in Jesus,

Danny Tong

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18).

I was saddened to hear of Anne’s passing. I met Anne when I was in middle school as a dance student, and her quiet, thoughtful demeanor always stood out. She was consistently kind to everyone around her, and although we didn’t interact much one-on-one, I’ve always remembered her gentle and kind spirit. May she rest in peace.
Anne was an incredibly kind person, always willing to volunteer in the classroom and at school events. In the brief time that I knew her, I saw how clearly she made a positive impact on the lives of the students and faculty at HSArts. We are all lucky to have known her and worked with her. May she rest in peace.

When I heard that Anne was nearing the end, I did not feel pity or sorrow for her. She had fought bravely for a long time, and now she was on her way to find peace and rest. I only hope she is happy now, in a place free from pain.

According to my friend Seunghyun, she was an extraordinary person. Many people, when faced with death, let fear take over—they end up hurting their families or treating their loved ones poorly. It’s a natural instinct driven by the desire to live.

But Anne was different. Even as the end approached, she never denied the life she had lived. She thought deeply about those she would leave behind and especially worried about Seunghyun, who would be left alone. I can’t help but wonder if the reason the heavens called her so quickly is because she was such a truly great and admirable person.

With all my heart, I wish her a peaceful rest—and to my dear friend, a farewell that is sorrowful, yet filled with warmth.
