Anne's obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Anne Gibson on August 3, 2025. Born on August 24, 1944, Anne lived a fulfilling life, brimming with love, adventure, and a sense of purpose. Her legacy of forgiveness and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.

Anne was predeceased by her father, Joseph Levy. She is survived by her siblings Winnie Engelbrecht, John Levy, and Maryanne Hallerman. Anne's light continues to shine brightly in her loved ones' hearts.

A virtuoso of eclectic tastes, Anne enjoyed various foods, most notably white chocolate and egg salad. She would often be seen relaxing with horror stories or the compelling novel, 'Girl Next Door'. Her appreciation for Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles reflected a deep love for music that transcended decades.

Anne had a deep affinity for the visual arts, cherishing the works of Tim Cox. Films, particularly 'Mockingbird Don’t Sing', revved her imagination. The show 'Mr. Ed' remained a constant fixture in her TV viewing schedule, adding a dash of humor to her day.

Anne’s recreational activities included painting and gardening, which often resulted in a spectacle of colors around her home. Physical wellness was important to Anne, and she regularly engaged in cycling and yoga. She was an avid supporter of the Cowboys and enjoyed the occasional game of hide and seek.

Never one to stay tethered to one place, Anne loved the serenity of the beach and often took vacations there. Local spots like Football held a special place in her heart. The cause closest to her, Saint Jude, was a testament to her spirit of giving and caring.

Known for her friendly, trustworthy, caring, and loyal nature, Anne always had a way of lighting a room with her presence. Her favorite color, red, was as vibrant and inviting as her personality. The important lesson she shared, "To always forgive," continues to guide those she left behind.

Among her many accomplishments, starting her own company stood out. Anne Gibson was more than just the sum of her achievements. She was a beacon of love and forgiveness who taught us that life could be lived fully, with grace and dignity, even in the face of adversity. She will be deeply missed.
