Lee's obituary
Anna “Lee” Rossi, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, in Sacramento, CA, at the age of 94. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 31, 1931, Lee grew up during the end of the Great Depression. She started working at a young age to support her family and went on to have a fulfilling career in the food service industry as a waitress and restaurant manager.
Lee relocated many times during her life. She moved to Long Island, New York, then followed her lifelong friends Joe (deceased) and Terri D’Ambrosio to Sacramento, California in 1978. She made it clear that she didn’t miss the cold East Coast winters! After many years, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2016, but returned to Sacramento in 2025.
Lee truly loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was playing bingo and poker or just socializing. In her most recent years in Las Vegas, she was a warm presence at her apartment complex's clubhouse, always greeting newcomers with open arms and making them feel welcome.
Lee was known for her generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. She also had a special fondness for animals, regularly feeding wild birds and stray cats with an almost sacred dedication.
Lee is survived by her loving children: daughter Mary White and her husband Charlie White; sons Ray Schweitzer and his wife Sue Schweitzer, Mark Kleinman and his wife Stacy Kleinman, Roland Kleinman and his wife Deena Kleinman; and stepsons Neil Kleinman and Walt Rossi. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Johnathan Battista, Anthony Battista, Greg Schweitzer, Russell Luciano, Katie Schweitzer Jakubowski, Austin Schweitzer, Matthew Kleinman, Blake Kleinman, and Alex Kleinman. Additionally, she has several great-grandchildren including Anna Battista, Caleb Battista, Gavin Battista, Norm Larden, Bryton Battista, Rory Kleinman.
Lee is deeply loved and sorely missed by her loving family and many friends. She'll always be remembered and cherished through the memories she created and shared with all.
