Joan's obituary
It is with heavy hearts, yet deep faith, that we announce the passing of Anna JOAN Rochon (née Daly), who was called home to the Lord on October 2, 2023, at the age of 94. Born on March 26, 1929, Joan lived a long and grace-filled life, rooted in her Catholic faith and marked by deep devotion to her family. She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Her quiet strength, kindness, and steadfast belief in God were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene Rochon; her cherished daughter, Nancy (Doug); her parents, Nellie Daley and Phillip Daley; her brothers, Ken and Raymond; and her sisters, Molly, Phyllis, and Therese. We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marlene, Lorraine (William), Steven (Lois), Joyce (Lawrence), and Sheila (Timothy). Joan's legacy of love and faith continues through her many grandchildren: Mark (Jen), Karen, Jan, Scott (Sara), Shawn (Kim), Kelly (Joe), Kenneth (Crystal), Layne, Sarah, Jennifer, James, and Kyle (Jesseka).
Joan was also a proud and loving great-grandmother to Gavin, Bradley, Liam, Giulia, Kristopher, Tyler, Bree, Alison, Conner, Nathan, Braden, Olivia, Aiden, Kaitlyn, Cedar, Kolten, Liam, Emily, Alex, Emmett, Isabella, Kayley, Brody, Cooper, Charlotte, and Lincoln. Each of them was a blessing in her life and brought her immense joy.
A woman of deep faith, Joan found strength and comfort in prayer and the teachings of the Church. She lived her life with compassion, humility, and a generous spirit, always placing family at the heart of everything she did. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and welcome—a true reflection of her faith in action.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Perley Health for their care, kindness, and support.
We trust that Joan has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and is now at rest in His eternal light. Her family finds peace in the promise of the Resurrection and the hope that they will be reunited again.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
