Anna's obituary
Anna (Parrish) Kellogg, 61, of Richmond, VA, passed away on July 19, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer.
Anna was born on May 10, 1959 in Richmond, VA. She attended Hermitage High School until her mother also passed away from cancer. Aged 16, Anna took on the responsibility of raising her younger sisters. This act of selflessness would echo throughout her short life, as she often said that all she ever wanted was to be a mom.
In 1996, she finally got her wish when Anna had her first child, a daughter named Glory. Two years later, Devyn followed. Despite many adversities, she was devoted to her children and chosen family.
Anna could make friends with anyone. She had empathy so deep you could never reach its bottom. Taking care of other people was her mode of being. Her boundless heart withstood incredible cruelty over the course of her life- but no matter the malice she faced, Anna never hardened, never let herself grow cold. Her warmth and resilience are an inspiration to all who knew her.
Anna was predeceased by both of her parents and her older sister, Stella. She is survived by her younger sisters, Brenda and Phyllis; her children, Glory and Devyn; and countless friends and chosen family.
