Anna's obituary
To Know Anna was to Love Anna
Born in Lynn MA, to Ella (Grant) & Albert Kent, Anna was the youngest of 15 children. Survived by Myron Kent (IN), Carol & Charles Ward (CA), Kathleen & Al Ward (NH). Anna enjoyed telling stories of her childhood spent on “Curwin Circle”.
In 1970, Anna married the love of her life Anthony “Dennis” DelFavero. They had 3 children, Angela St. Laurent (MA), Shayne & Heather DelFavero (RI), Laura & James Shanley (FL).
They purchased their first home in the summer of 1978, settling in Billerica MA. Anna worked for many years at L.E. Muran Office Products Co. Anna later retired from Lahey Clinic as an environmental service technician.
Anna felt a calling to go back to work part-time for the town of Billerica with the Council on Aging as a respite/companion caregiver to the elderly community. This was her true passion; she thrived and flourished in this role. She became every client’s “family”.
In 2018, Anna moved to Rosehill Manor, she developed a sense of community amongst fellow residents. Friendships were made quickly during their nightly gatherings, either outside on the benches in the warm months, or sitting by the fire in the community room.
Anna enjoyed many activities, however ceramics being her favorite. She talked often about this hobby. Mastering skills from her instructor Carol gave her a sense of pride.
In November of 2022 Anna moved to Florida to escape the cold New England winters. Once again, meaningful friendships formed in her short time there.
Anna had very special relationships with all 7 Grandchildren, Dalton, Andrew, Ryleigh, Dennis, Dominic, Valerie & Olivia making each one feel as though they were her “favorite”. Anna lovingly showed off her 4 Great Grandchildren when given the chance.
Anna was strong in faith; she would often say “it’s in God’s hands”, she loved her family & loved to laugh.
