Anna Louise Calderon Quiroz

April 15, 1962 – December 9, 2022

Anna Louise Calderon Quiroz, born in Seguin, Texas on April 15, 1962 to Maria Concepcion ‘Chona’ Frias Calderon and Gumecindo ‘Tino’ Calderon. Anna passed away quietly with her family by her side on December 9, 2022, at the age of 60. Anna married young to Ricardo Quiroz, Jr. just as he started his career in military service. She enjoyed touring Europe, especially Austria and Czechoslovakia. She worked in the medical field for much of her life in various administrative roles on military bases and settled into a long career with Christus Home Healthcare, where she made many loyal and cherished friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Sarah C. Calderon. She is survived by her children, Rene J. Quiroz (partner Rebecca Sookchan), Stephanie T. Quiroz, and grandchildren Michael, Katana, & Nevaeh. Anna is also survived by her siblings, Dean Calderon (Frances), Elsa C. Garcia (Alex), Alisa M. Lopez, David Calderon, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. Anna was devoted to the blessed mother Mary and wished to have a celebration of the immortality promised to all by Christ. She would love to be remembered for her cunning wit, abundant kindness, and slight macabre humor to celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague, and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten. Her heart of this world may have failed, but her spirit was stubbornly strong.

SERVICES

 All services will be held at Porter Loring - West. 1710 W. Loop 1604 N., San Antonio, TX 78251. (210-891-0000).There will be a 7:00PM Rosary on Friday, December 16, 2022 and a Prayer Service will be at 10:00 AM with a Reception to follow from 11:00AM – 1:00PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
