Ann's obituary

Ann Roseman, 70, of Boise, ID, passed away on November 10, 2022 due to complications from diabetes.  She had recently relocated from Boise to Crawfordville, Florida to live with her son and his family.

Ann was born in 1952 to Don and Vera Rubottom in Kansas.   As a child of a career US Army Colonel, she lived all over the world during her childhood with her sister Donna.  Fairbanks, Alaska; Izmir, Turkey  and Stuttgart, Germany were all homes to her.  Ann's love for travel and adventure were always present in her life.  She married Tom Roseman after they met at Virginia Tech College and they spent years backpacking through Europe and living in different areas of the United States before having their children Megan and Birk.  The family settled in Ridgecrest, California and had many good years living in the high desert.  Ann was active in the community theater, both as an actor as well as a director.   She loved to sing and be around people.   She worked her way from a grocery store cashier to a high level government budget analyst for the Department of Defense at China Lake Naval Air Warfare Station.  Ann had a successful career and kept the community theater thriving.

After Ann and Tom ended their marriage, Ann stayed on in Ridgecrest until she retired from her government position.  In her retirement, she set off for a change of scenery and some big city culture in Boise.  Ann was an active member of Common Ground community choir, a women's fly fishing group and Mountain View Church of the Brethren.  She looked forward to summer Shakespeare festivals and continued to travel to visit friends and family.   She adored her grandchildren and eventually relocated to Florida in order to be closer to them.   The last months of her life were spent in the love and care of her family.

Ann had a very giving heart and spirit and touched many people's lives.  She loved to help people and would give up anything she had if it meant giving them a leg up.  She will be greatly missed.   She is survived by her sister Donna Scharf of Boise, ID; daughter Megan and grandson Jonas of Seattle, WA and son Birk and grandchildren Dylan, Riley and Sydney of Crawfordville, FL.
