Anne will be missed and remembered. She was one of a kind.  And a wonderful soul.
Ann was my first babysitter. As a child, no matter my mood, when Ann was coming, I always felt joy. Ann's presence was always a joyful occasion. Over the years, we crossed paths occasionally at Ann's parents or at mine. That joy was always present. I am grateful to have known Ann and very sorry for your loss.

Ann helped so many people. As a 5-year old, she could tell the grocer what her mom wanted to buy because Ann picked up Türkçe soon after the family was stationed in Turkey. In Kansas and for the rest of her life, she brought joy to so many people because she sang and plucked a guitar so well and could choose music that would help the listener. In later years, that talent developed into leading several church choirs.

When she was in high school and we were visiting her parents, she would come in, say "hi," and then whisk our baby son, JS, upstairs so that we could have grown up time.  When she went to VA Tech, she came in an painted our children's faces and told them they were real Indians and in the process releaved their  itchy chicken pox.

When Joe and I  needed a boost, she came to help me through Chemotherapy. We have been each others sounding board as we coped with serious illnesses.  Her parents asked her to keep watch over several family members when they no longer would be able to do so. She has carried out that promise throughout her life.

She adored her grandchildren and, of course, her daughter, son-in-law, her son and daughter-in-law. She demonstrated how to live a meaningful life, That memories and many more teaches us how to live.
