Background
The number of Americans living with Alzheimer's is growing — and growing fast. More than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. As the size of the U.S. population age 65 and older continues to grow, so too will the number and proportion of Americans with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s may grow to a projected 12.7 million, barring the development of medical breakthroughs to prevent or cure Alzheimer’s disease. Please help find a cure.

Kids Free Clothing Exchange, Inc. (KFCE) began in 2004 by an individual who regularly encountered a young child who was in need of proper underclothing. That initial need has grown into a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides FREE CLOTHING to children in Polk, San Jacinto, Liberty, Trinity, Tyler, Hardin, and Angelina counties in Texas.
KFCE's clear, focused mission:
We believe if a child looks great, they will feel betterabout themselves, become more confident, do well in school, at home, and in their community. Hopefully, as they grow into adulthood, they will remember the premise of KFCE and will pay it forward by becoming strong parents, good employees, strong community leaders, and volunteers themselves. What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?
Because of our donor support, the Alzheimer's Association has been able to receive over 220,000 calls to our 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), offering free confidential support and information. We've granted more than $59 million to 253 new scientific investigations in aggressive pursuit of our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia®. And we've led advocacy efforts to achieve a $300 million increase in federal Alzheimer’s and dementia research funding.

What is the history of your organization?
The Alzheimer’s Association was founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals who recognized the need for an organization that would unite caregivers, provide support to those facing Alzheimer’s and advance research into the disease.
