Anna's obituary
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ann "Anna" Gougherty on April 10, 2024 in Prescott, Arizona. Born on February 26, 1942 in Douglas, Arizona, Anna was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love throughout her life. Although her birth name is Ann, she preferred to be called Anna, but some affectionately called her Annie.
Anna was a beloved wife, mother, daugher, and sister. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Lance and Lloyd. She graduated from Yuma High School in the Spring of 1960. She got married in October 1960 and was a homemaker from then until 1972 when she joined the workforce. She was employed in the Banking and the Savings & Loan Industry for most of her working life, except in the early to mid 1980's when she worked for the Clemson Extension Service in Columbia, South Carolina. Anna was adored by her fellow co-workers and customers everywhere she worked. She retired in late 2007.
Her memory will be cherished by her beloved children, Lance and Lloyd Anderson. The void left by Anna's departure is immense, yet comfort is found in knowing her life was filled with purpose and meaning. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate to have known her.
Anna is survived by her husband Craig, her sons Lance and Lloyd, and her sister Debbie Sue. She was preceded in death by her father Charles, her mother Della, and her brothers Richard and Wally.
