Anmaree's obituary
Anmaree Zerull, 61, passed away unexpectedly in Plainfield, CT on Oct 1, 2022. She was born in West Hartford on Jan 11, 1961. She was a daughter to the late Norma (Faulstrom) and Stephen Rudyk. She leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, James D. Zerull Sr., daughter Jara Zerull of Canterbury, son James Zerull Jr. and his wife Alison of Canterbury along with four granddaughters: Julia, Kendall, Letty and Madeleine.
After many years of searching for her birth mother, a DNA kit linked her to her Aunt Evelyn Grimshaw and full brother Frank Majewski and wife Michele. She also leaves behind multiple half siblings and cousins.
Anmaree had a contagious laugh and was loved by all who knew her. She had this energy that could light up a room and make anyone smile with a sarcastic charm.
Anmaree graduated from Plainfield High School and continued her education in Photography. She had an array of occupations, but she loved most being a mom and a Mimi.
Her love for basketball in high-school led to her coaching while her children were young and pushing them into sports. She was a huge fan of UCONN Women’s Basketball and never missed watching a game. Anmaree was never without her coffee. She loved any kind of coffee but absolutely loved Wawa coffee. Anmaree had a love for music and attended many concerts through the years with her husband.
Anmaree loved the beach and spent many years sunbathing and people watching at Misquamicut with her husband Jim, best friend Beth and husband Paul. If she wasn’t enjoying Rhode Island beaches she was mostly likely found at Hampton Beach attending the annual seafood festival; she loved lobster rolls. Anmaree spent many years camping in New Hampshire with her husband and loved being in the White Mountains.
Visiting hours will be on Fri. Oct 7th from 2 – 4pm at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory, 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield, CT. Burial is private. http://www.doughertybrosfuner….
Anmaree absolutely loved flowers and gardening; however, she loved her granddaughters so much that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an education fund for Julia, Kendall, Letty and Madeleine.
