Update from Feb. 19, 2025

Hello all!
Just wanted to make sure everyone knew…
Mom’s service will be on Friday, March 21, 2025.
There was some confusion with several people because February and March’s dates line up.
So we will not be at the site this Friday the 21st but we will see you in a month!

Love you all.

Remember to RSVP ♥️

Update from Feb. 5, 2025

This morning our beautiful mama went with the angels. She was held by us and she took her last breaths listening to great music. We were so comforted to know that she wasn’t in any pain and she knew how fiercely she was loved right up until the end. She knows how much each of you love her and how she touched your lives. We will update soon with the details of her celebration of life. We love you all. Mama loves you most.

Update from Feb. 3, 2025

Hello all
We all knew this time would come but with this particular disease it seemed to go all too fast.
We are preparing this week to say goodbye to our mother. It has been such an honor to care for her in this way as she has cared for us our whole lives. Our Hospice angels are making her as comfortable as possible and she knows how loved she is.
Thank you all for the continuous support. Love you.

Update from Jan. 22, 2025

Hello all,
Mom is still continuing tondo okay under the care of Hospice. They have been amazing. Her pain has for the most part been managed finally and she has been able to rest.
She is down with me (Laura) full time now and even though she misses her Kitty she has been doing well.
We spent the weekend with her siblings and their children. The amount of love that surrounds her warms me.
Thank you all for everything.

Update from Jan. 13, 2025

Hello all! I just wanted to update here as not all of you are still familiar with what is going on with our Mom, Annie. Please read on as most of you may find this redundant :) Thank you for subscribing as we are hoping for this to be a better way of communicating with all of our friends and family. As some of you may know, we have recently come upon some terrible news regarding our Mom. Back on November 21st, she had a CT scan to hopefully answer some questions regarding pain she had been experiencing and recent weight loss. The results came in on November 26th and they did not look good. They had found a 5cm sized mass on her pancreas and several mets in her liver. Due to the holiday and unfortunately negligence by her primary, she was not seen by an oncologist until December 11th, having had her biopsy just the day before to confirm. The oncologist was fairly sure, as we did not have the results of the biopsy, that what we were seeing was in fact Stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had metastasized to her liver. On December 18th, we got the results of the biopsy pathology… it was worse than we had previously thought. Her correct and formal diagnosis is Poorly Differentiated Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. Simply put, it is a tumor that attaches to an organ and then spreads throughout the body. It’s hard to detect and even harder to stop. They told her that with treatment, which is a much stronger chemotherapy than they had originally planned on, that they may be able to shrink it, but it will not go away. Where we are today: We, along with the support of her Dr’s, have decided to forgo any treatments. The survival rates for this type of Chemo are not in our favor. We all decided that we would like Mom to be Mom a little bit longer for as long as we get to have her. She recently had a small procedure to help minimize the pain caused by the main tumor. Unfortunately, we don’t think this worked as well as we had hoped. As of today, Jan 13, we have started with a local hospice company, Inland Valley Hospice Care. They are simply angels and so kind. They will help to care for mom and make her more comfortable. She would love to hear from all of you- you can mail cards or flowers to the house or set up visits with me, Laura. I know she touched a lot of lives out there so please let me know. We are also accepting any donations to be made towards her services as this all was very sudden for us. We will try to update when we can and have more information. In the meantime time, we will accept love and light and prayers for comfort. We appreciate and love you all. Love from mom ❤️
