On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Angelo “Sonny” Costas Lanaris passed away at the age of 72. Angelo, son of Elizabeth (predeceased) and Angelo Lanaris (predeceased) was born on August 24, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Sonny is survived by his immediate family – his sister Susan Scaglione and her husband Mike. His daughter Angela Pierce, her husband Tim, and their two children Mason and Olivia; his daughter Nina McGuinness and her husband Seamus and their two children Quinn and Fiona. His niece Kimberly Bush, and nephew Jeremy Crawford. And too many friends to list here……

Sonny is predeceased by the mother of his children, Donna Lanaris and his nephew, Gary Bush.

Sonny lived most of his life in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and loved nothing more than spending time with friends and family at the lake. He had a wonderful group of childhood friends that he loved to see and hang out with. Additionally, Sonny enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up, playing golf, sun bathing, and his Great Danes. He retired from a long career with Roselle Disposal in 2019. Sonny will be dearly missed by many friends and family. Information on a Memorial Service will be forthcoming at a later date.
