Angela's obituary
Angela Zenobia Simmons-Trepagnier passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Born on July 27, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Harold and Vera Simmons.
Angela was a 1976 graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior high School in New Orleans, in Louisiana. She continued her education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and in 1980 she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Angela pursued her vocation in the accounting industry over a forty-year span. Her professional path coursed
through both private and public business sectors. Angela was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jane Austin Taylor, and her brother Clayton Reginald Austin. Her survivors include her sister Ceya Austin (Terry) Simon, Eudith Austin (Ray) Rodney, and Libby Simmons; she was the loving aunt of Terri Benjamin, Harold Taylor, Ronald Porter, Monique Taylor, Ray Rodney, Amy Simmons, Montana Rodney, and Terri Simon; she was great-aunt to Jon Barri Taylor, Amaya King, Ronald Porter, Mykal Benjamin, Kenneth Benjamin, Anthony Taylor, Harland Coleman, Lollimae Coleman, Nathaniel Flowers, Booker Coleman, Michigan Sanders, Ilan Rodney, Koray Rodney, and Amyah Harris; she was the great-great-aunt to Cameron Prim.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life, Friday, February 10, 2023, at Professional Funeral Services (1449 North Claiborne Ave., Nola, 70116) for 3:00 p.m.; interment private.
