My sincere condolences to the Grandison family and extended clan for your great loss of a very special member of the family. I wish I knew 'Tootsie' better beyond our chance encounters. But knowing the Grandisons was knowing 'Tootsie. RIP 'Tootsie.'
Miss Toots, I am still in shock that you are no longer with us. We go back for 50+ years and am reminiscing about the good times we enjoyed. Your sense of humor, generosity and kindness will always live on. Miss you very much especially today. Happy Heavenly Birthday - Miss Toots.
I never knew Tootsie personally but the essence of her was brought alive over the years through Denny and his fiancé and her kindness towards my mother.
Below is a collaborated poem in this angel’s behalf. RIP
TOOTSIE’S SONG
Melodious beautiful and kind Was the anthem of her mind Angela from birth she worked hard and earned her wings Hence her freedom song begins Knowing she had passed earth’s test Heaven welcomed her to rest
Her specialness so rare sweetness without compare Her amusing nature Would embody her very culture Aah, Tootsie’s song was filled with wit sharp and quick and would not quit
her song Lives on
As if to say
Marlon Loin of my loin Melodiously strong Your song is indeed a beautiful one
Riley’s song will be sweet Cameron’s will soar and Lincoln’s will endlessly flow
You’ve written your vision making it clear Son of mine forever dear
Che Seed of my seed Stand ye tall singing your song I am Loving the one you did for me Go on baby, live your life in glee
Let your signature be bold Releasing stories untold Embracing your specialness
Let your freedom ring Ripping new melodies That only you can sing
Tootsie’s Melody is so sweet Queen Deseree grooved to the beat Their friendship song was indeed strong Lyrics received one by one
Tootsie’s harmony was so true, Her’s was an intentional song Chiming messages to her young one Her beautiful lyrics still live on
As if to say
Be relentless Deseree and be true Give rise to that vision that is you Birthing Matthew’s Song of Songs
Tootsie’s song was so pure Easy loving was her delight Challenging others to the light Glen and Denny, Bruce and Bobby, Loving you was always right
Her knights brought texture to her song Colored each note as they journeyed along Heart imprinting their song of songs Theirs was such a precious one
A Topping from the Grandison seed a rare medley indeed Some did not recognize the brilliance of her shine Kindness was her clef note Loving was her whole note Wit was her jingle ever so sweet
She touched, she gave, singing her song Mesmerizing the mind, while dancing along Her requiem accomplished masterpiece complete She now rests at the savior’s feet

Tootsie was such a fun-loving caring person that it is difficult to come to grips with the fact that she is no longer with us. I would call her every morning close to 9:00am to see how she was doing and would always end up laughing at some crazy thing she just said. I would always look forward to her inquiries as to remembering someone from Moneague or the surrounding areas. She always seemed to remember some trivia about our early life that would jog my memory and bring me back home. Sweet sis, I still sometimes pick my phone up to call to see how you are doing, but I know you are in great shape now. Love forever, Bobby.
