Andrew and I at my first ever…

Cruise — with Evan’s Grandpa
I can't believe that he's gone. It's been years since I spoke to Drew and we'd long since grown apart, but I'll never ever forget his unique sense of humor, his infectious love of music, and his admirable spontaneous nature. Drew was the kind of guy who would suddenly decide to bike 30 miles and then lay upside down in a hammock until 3 AM -- not for show, but to make the most of an otherwise boring summer day. He was eccentric in a way that I've never seen in another person before or since, and I'm sad almost beyond words that his time was cut so short. I like to imagine he's somewhere perpetually riding his bike to nowhere in particular, just happy in the moment. Farewell, friend.

Andrew,

I write this to you as I sob alone. I can’t help but feel we had so much time left together. You are my forever brother and favorite person. I love you beyond what time can constrain. This is not goodbye.

Drew is truly one of the most unique and loveliest people I've ever been lucky enough to meet. He brought profound joy to my life and it's my greatest honor to be the last person he loved.

Whenever we were together, I felt like we could handle any problem thrown our way. We were such a great and functional team- I never thought I'd experience a partnership quite like the one I had with him. We complimented each other beautifully and I remember him telling me "Great minds think alike but even better minds make up for what the other lacks". I couldn't have said it any better. We had so many plans and goals for the future, it's very difficult for me to believe they're no longer possible.

Drew will forever have my heart and I will miss him for as long as I live. But I am so incredibly grateful to have had him in my life.

Drew is one of the most special people I’ve ever met, and a true eccentric in the most authentic, loveable and funny way.
Matt (Drew’s friend, my boyfriend) and I would always make it a point to meet up with Drew and Evan when we’d visit from Australia.

One of my more recent memories was a little over a year ago when Drew, Matt, Lexi and I went to a restaurant. I wish I was able to remember the jokes we shared, but I’ll never forget how I laughed so hard I cried. We all had such a good time. Afterwards, the four of us went on a drive and bought ice cream.

A couple of days later, Drew gave Matt and myself one-on-one lessons on how to drive his stick shift convertible. I’d never learned to drive before, so I always appreciated the generosity and patience Drew demonstrated through this kind gesture.

We will without a doubt notice and feel so saddened by his absence when we return to New York, and wish to send our sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.
We will love and miss you forever, Drew!

Drew was one of my closest friends and one of the few, truly unique people out there. For how much of an individual he was, however, I still felt like we shared a mutual understanding of each other that I always have and will forever value. He was there for me when I most needed a friend which I will never forget and his immediate welcoming nature to my Girlfriend Karen comforted her when she visited the United States for the first time. His loss has left a hole in our lives that I'm sure everyone who knew him is feeling too. My condolences go to Drew's wonderful family who have always been generous and hospitable to me.

Drew was the most amazing person I had ever met in my life. I can’t imagine what you and your family are going through. Always thinking of you all.
Drew and his beloved girlfrie…

Drew and his beloved girlfriend, Marisa. They were very good together. They really enjoyed this travel adventure..

We have so many wonderful memories of Drew. He was a very special person in our daughter Lexi’s life, and we had the privilege of getting to know him and spend time with him over several years.

Time with Drew was always filled with laughter; he could make you laugh until you cried. Drew could find something funny in any situation. He was also incredibly thoughtful. There were so many times that he went out of his way to help Lexi when she needed it, when she was sick or needed his help around the house. Drew would drop everything and help, alway with a smile.

We are so thankful to have known Drew and to have had the opportunity to spend time with him and see the joy he and Lexi brought to one another.

To Drew’s family, thank you for sharing Drew with Lexi and with us. We loved him and continue to love him now even though he has gone ahead of us. I believe he is smiling down on us and laughing at all those silly quirky things he found great humor in when he was here with us.

Drew, thank you for bringing your great conversation, laughter, love and care to our lives, most importantly Lexi’s life. We enjoyed every minute we had with you and will miss you and carry you in our hearts always.

For the past six years Andrew has been my person, even after our breaks we would always find each other again. From moving in together to taking care of each other when we were sick, our birthday trip to Atlanta and telling our truest secrets. There’s too many stories to tell.

He was the funniest person I had ever met in my life. Too me, he was absolutely perfect in every way. He will always be my first real love.

Sending you and your family healing prayers.

Michelle DeLeo
2023, AccuBend Christmas Party

I remember when Drew came into Accubend for an interview almost 5 years ago.  He was fresh out of college and eager to learn, and wow did he made quite the impression on us all!  He learned so quickly, with my husband/owner Joe DeLeo as his mentor and teacher.  He mastered the press brake and became "one with it".  There was nothing he could not figure out on those machines.  He was an invaluable asset at Accubend, and was loved by all of his co-workers,  and especially by myself and Joe.

Joe saw a lot of himself in Drew, and knew that, in time, with his outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to go over and above when needed, that he would have excelled to the the top in this industry!

Drew was destined for so many great things, and his loss has left a gaping hole in our operations, but more importantly, in all of our hearts.  We love and miss you dearly Drew, and we all send our condolences to your family.
