Andrew's obituary

Andrew Hugh Mays left our world on the morning of July 9th, 2023. He is survived by his three adult children, Lilly Elizabeth Mays, Madeleine Daisy Mays, and Sullivan Bailey Mays.

Andy graduated from Texas A&M university in 1987 with a Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture. He was active in the Corps of Cadets and a member of the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the ASLA.

Everyone who's had the privilege to know him, knew the real him. There was no facade; he was true to his convictions, unafraid to share his love, and always willing to help any way he could. He brought so much charm and excitement into this life, and impacted so many people with his outgoing spirit.

This loss is crushing and felt deeply among us all, but we are so so lucky for every moment he graced our lives.

- Daisy M.

Dad was an all-American free spirit. He was soulful and kind. He was strong, graceful, socially aware, and generous.

He empathized with folks experiencing discrimination at a systemic level, and was fearless to defend anyone in need. He gave when he had little to give.

In the end, he gave us his heart and passion to make the world a better place. We love you, Dad.

- Lilly M.
