Andy's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a cherished husband, dedicated father, resident Skip Bo game enthusiast, and an unforgettable friend, Andrew "Andy" Haviland. Born on October 11, 1983, Andy departed from this earthly realm far too soon on September 2, 2024, leaving a void that will be hard to fill.

Andy's memory is kept alive by his loving wife Nicole Haviland who stood by his side through thick and thin. They shared a love that was unwavering, strengthened by every obstacle they overcame together. Andy's proudest achievement was undoubtedly his children, who he lovingly deemed the best parts of him. His love, care, and dedication to his family were unparalleled.

In the aftermath of his strokes in 2020, Andy discovered his love for the game Skip Bo. His resilience and determination, as strong as ever, led him to three nightly games during what was fondly known as 'adult time'. This favorite pastime brought him great joy and showcased his spirit in the face of adversity.

Andy will always be remembered for his friendly nature, his generosity, and his unwavering determination. His strong work ethic inspired everyone around him, while his willingness to reach out a helping hand touched countless lives. Once you met Andy, you never forgot him. His legacy of kindness and perseverance will live on, touching many hearts even in his absence.

A Celebration of Life for Andy will be held on October 12, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Chinese Reconciliation Project Park. All who knew and appreciated Andy are welcome to share in this farewell ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the Haviland family is raising funds for "Help with Cremation". Those who wish to contribute may do so at the following link: www.everloved.com/life-of/and….  Or directly to Fir Lane Memorial Park.

It is a heartfelt way to honor Andy's memory and offer support during this difficult time.

Andy's loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm spirit, his enduring strength, and his commitment to those he loved will be missed beyond words. Rest in peace, Andy Haviland - your memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
