It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrea Simons, age 59, on Tuesday, January 7, surrounded by her loving family. Andrea was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth, compassion, and unwavering strength touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born in Springfield, VA, Andrea later resided for over 30 years in Inwood, WV. She dedicated much of her life to her career as a dental assistant, where she was known for her skill, dedication, and ability to put others at ease. Andrea formed lasting relationships with her coworkers and patients alike, always going above and beyond to make those around her feel comfortable and cared for.

Andrea was the proud mother of two children, Erin Simons and Paige Simons, who were the center of her world. She took great joy in watching them grow into remarkable adults and cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for Erin and Paige was unconditional and evident in everything she did. Andrea also treasured time with her extended family, creating memories that will be forever held dear.

She was a woman of quiet strength with a heart as big as her smile. Andrea had a natural ability to bring people together, offering kindness and encouragement to all. Her passion for life, devotion to family, and gentle spirit will be remembered with fondness by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Andrea is preceded in death by her siblings Matthew Simons and Adam Simons. She is survived by her children Erin and Paige, as well as her grandchildren Andrew Simons and Sarah Simons.

A viewing service will be held on Thursday, January 16, at 3:00 PM at Brown Funeral Homes & Cremations – South Berkeley Chapel. Funeral services will follow on Friday, January 17, at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Andrea's legacy of love and care will live on through her family and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
