I only learned about Andrea's death yesterday, from a mutual friend. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. For many years we would hang out with each other at various writing conferences. I always admired her immense writing talent and appreciated her savvy take on the publishing industry--she gave me some really good advice over the years. I also loved laughing with her and teasing her about being a metal head (I was more of a punk rocker). Andrea and I had fallen out of touch for quite a while. I had invited her to a few writing events but knew that she wasn't really interested anymore and also knew that she valued her privacy, so I left it at that. I have missed her over the years, and now that I know she's gone I miss her even more. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I loved my one and only niece as if she was my own!   What a loss to everyone.   My love and support goes to the McAfee and Dunlop families .

My one and only sister-in-law for 30 years.   I admired her wit, creativity and individuality.   She was so good at giving unique and thoughtful gifts to us and our kids.   She was way “cooler” than I could ever be.  It was easy to converse with Andrea  and always  pleasant to be with her.

I know she loved Ian and the girls deeply.  Rest In Peace Andrea.

We will all miss dear sweet Andrea. A character if there ever was one! My sincere condolences to Ian, Charley, Stevie-Lynn, Susan, David and Brian. Uncle Gene
