Andrea's obituary
Andrea Rosena Arcidiacono was born on January 30, 1968, to Marianne and Angelo Arcidiacono. At the time of her passing, she was living in South Florida, having previously made her home in Delaware. Andrea dedicated more than 30 years to her career as a Registered Nurse, working at Christiana and St. Francis hospitals in trauma, ICU, and many other areas. She was loved by her patients and colleagues and made lifelong friends along the way.
Andrea was the mother of Jessica and Carre Twardus, and grandmother to Levi. She is also survived by her mother Marianne, her sisters Alicia and Angel, her niece Katie, and Nikki. Andrea had dear friends in Uganda—Shiban, Shidrah, and Sandra—whom she considered family. She loved her mother deeply and treasured the sweets and baked treats Marianne made for her over the years.
She had a zest for life, loved the ocean, and enjoyed swimming with fish, turtles, and sharks. Her adventurous spirit took her from hiking trails to road trips with her sisters, from living in the Bahamas and along Florida’s coastline to zip-lining over alligators, and to Uganda for the wedding of a loved one she considered family. She embraced travel, laughter, and new experiences, cherishing the people she met along the way.
Andrea leaves behind memories as bright and joyful as the sparkling star she hoped to become. Her final resting place will be off the shore of Miami—where she invites everyone to “come take a dive with me.” She would want no sorrow, only that people cherish the memories she leaves behind, have cake, and know that she is in heaven catching up with loved ones.
A private family memorial will be held.
During this time, our family may not be able to respond to every message, but we deeply appreciate your kindness and invite you to share your memories on her memorial page so we can all remember Andrea together.
