Andre's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Andre Lamont Jackson, a devoted father, brother, and son, who departed this life on September 13, 2024. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on October 10, 1966, Andre led a life defined by his steadfast commitment to his family and quiet demeanor, preferring the intimate circles of those he loved.

Andre proudly served in the United States Army from October 3, 1985, to November 26, 1990, earning an honorable discharge. His time in service instilled in him the values of discipline, loyalty, and dedication, which he carried into his personal life.

Andre was the son of Tommie T. Jackson Sr. and Naomi Jean (Morgan) Jackson. He is survived by his beloved children, Latorria Qualls and Ramona Jackson, and grandson Bruce Qualls III, as well as his brothers Tommie Jr., Wesley (Deborah), and Anthony Jackson. Andre was a source of strength and support for his family, embodying a spirit of love and resilience. A proud father, he cherished every moment spent with his children despite his reserved nature.

As a private individual, Andre engaged with the world uniquely, sharing joy and laughter with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness and integrity will live through his family and friends.

A private memorial service will honor Andre's life and contributions to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity that supports veterans in his name.

Rest in peace, Andre. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
