Andy's obituary

Andre Ladrech, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, Cara, and their 3 children, Alec, Sydney & Jenna, on October 19th, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with stage 4 colorectal cancer.

Andy was born February 21st, 1962 to Carol and Maurice Ladrech in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He grew up in Greenbrae, California with his older sister, Nicole, and younger brother, Eric. After graduating from Redwood High School in 1980, he went on to study business administration at the University of San Diego.

After graduating from USD, Andy began pursuing his master’s in business administration at the University of Southern California’s Marshall Graduate School of Business, and began dating Cara in 1986. The pair graduated from USC in 1988, and were later married in San Francisco in 1991. The couple went on to raise their three children, Alec, Sydney, and Jenna, in Granite Bay, California.

Starting at Woodmont Real Estate Services and then Archstone, Andy went on to devote 25 years of his prolific career in commercial real estate to CONAM. He played an instrumental role in growing and overseeing the firm’s West Coast apartment portfolio – including over 13,000 units and a staff of more than 250 associates. His dynamic, engaging, and enthusiastic personality allowed him to build great teams and drive success for the company over his long tenure.

Andy was the most devoted, loving husband and father, who prioritized and cherished his family. He juggled a full-time job while passionately coaching all three kids in various sports throughout their childhood, attending every event he possibly could. Beyond his professional endeavors, Andy was an expert on a multitude of subjects — from home renovations to car repairs, sports, politics, all things USC, music, history, BBQing, and more. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades and wealth of knowledge.

Andy is survived by his wife Cara, his children Alec, Sydney, and Jenna, his father Maurice Ladrech, his sister Nicole Ladrech, his brother Eric Ladrech, his sister-in-law Jane Ladrech, his nieces Caroline O’Driscoll and Lauren Ladrech, and his nephew Matthew Ladrech. Andy was preceded in death by his loving mother, Carol Ladrech.

Andy’s legacy will live on forever as his loved ones remember and cherish the strong, compassionate, humorous, engaging, charismatic, loyal and loving human he was. And we will all continue to “Fight On!” ✌🏼 in his honor.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Hilary’s Catholic Church in Tiburon on February 6th at 1:30pm, with a reception to follow.
