Andre's obituary

Andre Duncan Sr., of Anna, TX, passed away on November 19, 2024 after a valiant battle to overcome a stroke.

Andre Sr. was born in February of 1972 in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Lutheran High School , he went on to earn several IT certifications and a role as Field Technician for companies including Gateway, Verizon and National Cinemedia.

After kickstarting his career, he went on to start two multimedia companies, KMM and AMSE. He was passionate about computer technology and often attended IT conventions and events throughout Texas and Colorado. His passion for reaching people did not stop there. He was also an avid writer and poet, publishing several books and short stories under his pseudonym, A.M. Styles. It was through his writings that he would eventually meet his wife of over 19 years, Danielle.

Andre Sr. and Danielle were blessed to have a beautiful, blended family of seven children: Alexander, Benjamin, Mirae, Cyrai, Robert, Andre Jr. and Christian. Love and support of family was incredibly important to him and he was dedicated to being a “safe space” for every person that he encountered. After successfully running AMSE for several years, he transitioned to his second career of teaching. He was extremely honored to be a positive influence for his students and whole-heartedly enjoyed his time as Anna High School’s Computer Science teacher.

Andre Sr. is survived by his wife, Danielle, his mother Annette Fletcher, brothers Leroy Henderson and Donzell Duncan, sisters Tasha Cooperwood-Payton, Tina Wilson and Robyn Fletcher; his children, grandchildren and a tribe of loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Celebration of Life for Andre Sr. will take place at Jambox, located at 7151 Preston Road, Suite #123, Frisco, Texas 75034 on Monday, November 25th from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM.  Everyone is welcome. Please come and share your memories of our beloved Andre Sr.  as we say goodbye and cherish the time we had together.
