My condolences to Amy's family. I first met Amy when we would volunteer together at shifts at the USO at Dulles Airport. I always had a great night when I was working with Amy. Those nights always went quickly because we were having fun or just talking about everything under the sun. I will truly miss sharing the USO lounge with Amy. I knew you for only a short part of your life but you were a big part of my USO experience and family, I will miss you very dearly.

I just want to say to Rick and the rest of Amy’s family that I haven’t had the privilege of meeting you all and I regret that terribly now. I do want you to know, however, that my main residence is in Florida, but I have a condo across the street from Dana Clark because my children and grandson live up there. That all being said, just so you understand, I’m up there frequently and spent a good bit of time with our beautiful Amy. We became quite close and found we had quite a bit in common. When Trump was running, Amy, Dana and I , along with another bunch of Republican nuts spent Friday nights at the courthouse in Leesburg waving Trump flags and either getting positive horn honks or the finger. We laughed no matter what. Amy took everything in stride and had the best attitude and could always laugh about anything….even if the subject matter was something sad or dark, she’d make it lighter and easier to deal with.
She loved Rick and her family dearly and we had many heart to heart conversations about the similarities between her family situation and mine and we related very well to one another. I know how important and dear her family was to her though.
If I can leave her loved ones with anything, I’d like to leave them with this….please know that you were blessed with a very beautiful, strong, courageous woman who treasured you immensely. My prayers are with you all.

I met Amy in 1998. It was not love at first sight (for her). She was a slow pitch softball player and a very good one. I was a slow pitch umpire and according to her not so good. I called her out at home plate and she was not in agreement, and she let me know it. We got past that and soon we were going out together. She was very talented and became a slow pitch umpire working top notch men's games clearly not intimidated . She also umpire d Boys Little League baseball games. She moved up to umpiring High School softball games. She could do it all. She turned her attention to basketball and became the Commissioner for Potomac Valley Official s Association. She then worked on her education receiving a bachelor s degree and at the young age of 50, a Master s degree from George Mason University. During this entire time she was raising two fine young men in Tim and Kevin and a beautiful daughter in Jennifer. We traveled on many cruises, we traveled on car trips and eventually made our way to 50 state Capitol s. She told me more than once that the best trip she took was to Italy to attend Jennifer s Master s degree ceremony
Her life Dream was to have a lake house for weekends. We accomplished that 9 years ago in Gettysburg. We spent most weekends relaxing at that house. A dream come true. I will miss her so much. All my love. Rick
