Amy (Holliday) Houseman lived in Castro Valley for 65 of her nearly 103 years.
Born and raised on a Nebraskan farm, Amy moved to California to attend Biola University. While there, she met and married Court Houseman. Court soon deployed to the South Pacific, and Amy moved in with his parents in Alameda. As World War II raged, she did her part on the home front by working at the naval air station.
