After over 9 months, it’s still hard to fathom that my favorite aunt’s life was taken away from us so soon. Chami phupho was like the fun, cool aunt that you only saw in tv shows. She was there for every birthday and every milestone when me and my sisters were growing up. Whenever she was in town,  she wouldn’t leave without stopping bye and taking us for the yummiest treats.  Chami phupho had the best sense of humor and could make anyone around her laugh, but was also extremely wise and always gave the best advice. She would always remind us how short life is and to always enjoy the moments. I miss you dearly Chami P 🤍
I am just finding out about this and I am in disbelief. I worked with Sami at Walgreens and she introduced me to the world of HIV. She was a knowledgeable kind person and she was an inspiration to me and many other pharmacists. My condolences to Sami’s family during these challenging times

Dr. Shafiq was my preceptor and instructor at Nova Southeastern University, College of Pharmacy. I learned so much from her over the years and kept in touch because she was so supportive and caring.

May she Rest In Peace and her family find comfort with every passing day.

I am so sorry that this angel was taken so soon. May she Rest In Peace and her family/friends find comfort.

My dear Sami was my friend from our childhood.  In primary school we were together. From 6th class she got admission in another school. Then from class 9 to 11 we were together. All the time she was with me. She was very possessive.. She wanted me to be her only friend. She got married and went to USA. We both were very sad. A few letters I received from her ,then we disconnected and in 1990 we again connected and after the death of her dear husband we again disconnected and now during the  covid  her email came and we saw each other on zoom. Now we had regular zoom meetings.  She sang for me. Shared her love with me.  We shared with each other our lives events. It was very wonderful to talk with her. She was very satisfied with her life. She supported her daughter in raising her children. I appreciate her husband, dear carl as the grandfather of Zoob's children.  She had all the human virtues, beautiful voice and many other qualities. It is very hard for her sisters, brothers, sons , daughter and for her husband to live with out her.  Everyday she is in my prayers. Spiritually she is with me. I know she loved me a lot. In the next world we will meet again. My deepest condolence to all her family members. Special love for her eldest sister Baby, as she was very worried about her.

Sami's Doody

I remember you today, like you are still here. I will always remember by beloved friend Sami. We shared memorable moments of our children growing up. She trained me when I first started at BH 21 years ago and shared with me many ideas of working successfully. She did a wonderful job raising her kids as a single mom and her legacy will live on with all the souls that she has touched in her short life. I love you my friend, my heart goes out to you children and loved ones.

Oh youngest sister, dear and sweet,Sami .

Your passing leaves our hearts replete

With memories of your vibrant light,

That shone so brightly, day and night.

Compassionate and full of care,

Your heart was open, kind, and rare.

You had a wisdom beyond your years,

And wiped away so many tears.

Intelligent and sharp of mind,

You left your mark on all you'd find.

With your love and your playful ways,

You filled our hearts with joyous days.

But now you've passed beyond this plane,

And left us here to bear the pain.

Yet still we hold you in our hearts,

And feel your presence when it starts.

We'll miss your laughter, and your smiles,

Your jokes, and all your silly wiles.

But we'll remember you with love,

And hold your spirit high above.

So rest in peace, our dearest one,

Your journey here is now all done.

But know that we will always see,

Your light shining eternally.

My heartfelt condolences to Sami's entire family.  I was so sad to hear of her passing.  I had the fortunate opportunity to have worked with her over the years and she will be dearly missed.   Bless you all.

Sami was a great women and such an asset to  the HIV community.   She was so caring and always there to help anyone.   She will be missed dearly.   To Sami’s family I hope you will always know how much of a legacy your wife and mom left behind and how she touched so many lives. May the memories bring you some comfort during this time.

RIP! Sweet friend

Our deepest condolences for the family.  So grateful to have known such a delightful, warm and intelligent lady.   You were always cheerful and hardworking through our years together at pharmacy school.  We saw each other through the years and I always felt like not a day had gone by.  You will be so missed, my colleague, my friend.
I had known Sami for many years when I lived and worked in S. Florida. She loved her work and her patients. We would sit for hours talking and debating about treatment options and what was best. She was brilliant. She will be missed by many. Sami, know that you made such an impact on all those lucky enough to know you. RIP my friend.

My sincere sympathy to all of Sami’s colleagues and family. I knew her slightly through Drug Rep dinners in the Philadrlphia region. She touched my life, as a delightful, fun lady and never forgot the purpose of her role; going  about educating in a charming captivating way! Such a loss. I’m praying for you all!
